Lightweight tiled roof system

Why Eco Friendly tiles work well for conservatory roof replacement

Conservatories need a roof that looks right, keeps unnecessary weight down and can be specified around the existing structure. Eco Friendly tiles give the solid tiled appearance without relying on heavy concrete or slate-style products.

Lightweight tiled exterior

A tiled conservatory roof without the old heavy-roof look

Eco Friendly tiles give a conservatory the look of a proper solid roof while keeping the tile product weight low. That matters on conservatories, because the existing frame, structure, access and roof shape all need checking before work is agreed.

We use the tile facts properly: 7.8kg/m² applies to the specified tile product, not automatically to every completed roof. The full roof build-up, ventilation, trims and internal finish are confirmed after survey.

Comfort and insulation

Designed to help the conservatory feel more like a room

A properly specified tiled roof can reduce heat transfer through the roof and help a conservatory feel more comfortable through the seasons. The specified installed roof build-up can achieve a U-value of 0.15 W/m²K, with the final build-up confirmed for the individual project.

If the roof replacement is combined with a newly built internal ceiling, the normal finish is white uPVC cladding. Lighting can be added as an option, and the agreed ceiling finish is confirmed during the survey.

Full replacement

Exterior roof, interior ceiling, or the whole job together

Some customers only need the tiled exterior roof. Others want the internal insulated ceiling as well. Where the existing roof is failing, leaking or no longer suitable, the best fix often means taking the old roof down and replacing it properly.

A full conservatory roof replacement combines the lightweight tiled exterior, insulated internal ceiling and optional lighting into one surveyed specification.

Lightweight roof tile questions

Eco Friendly conservatory roof questions answered clearly

Clear answers to the questions people usually ask before choosing lightweight tiles for a conservatory roof replacement.

Are Eco Friendly tiles suitable for every conservatory?

No roof product should be promised for every conservatory without checking the existing frame, roof shape, access and condition. We confirm suitability after survey.

Are lightweight tiles the same as cheap roof sheets?

No. Eco Friendly tiles are individual lightweight roof tiles used as part of a specified tiled conservatory roof system, not a temporary sheet or patch.

Can the inside be insulated at the same time?

Yes. The tiled exterior can be combined with a newly built insulated internal ceiling, normally finished in white uPVC cladding with optional lighting.

Do the tiles have a guarantee?

The specified Envirotile roofing tiles carry a separate 25-year manufacturer tile guarantee, subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
